Established in 1986, Factory X is a leading Australian fashion retailer with a diverse range of iconic brands, including Gorman, Dangerfield, Princess Highway and Black Friday. Our brands are designed to encourage expression and can be found in-store and online across Australia and New Zealand.
We are looking for an energetic and organised individual to assist with the efficient and organised operations of our warehouse in Abbotsford, including the accurate and safe receipt, storage, and distribution of products.
- Receive incoming shipments, verify accuracy, and inspect for damage or discrepancies. Process necessary documentation and ensure products are properly recorded in inventory systems.
- Properly store products in designated warehouse locations, ensuring efficient use of space and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Organise inventory for easy access and retrieval.
- Fulfil orders by accurately selecting the required products from inventory. Pack items securely to prevent damage during transit, and prepare them for shipment following packing guidelines.
- Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and other documents for outgoing orders. Coordinate with shipping carriers to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Regularly update inventory records to reflect accurate stock levels. Perform regular stock counts and participate in periodic inventory audits.
- Ensure the quality and condition of products meet company standards. Report any damaged or faulty items to supervisors.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Properly handle and store hazardous materials following safety procedures.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently. Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Keep the warehouse clean and organised, including shelving, aisles, and workstations. Dispose of waste materials appropriately.
- Work with other warehouse team members and departments to ensure smooth operations and meet customer demands.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and to stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety procedures.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling products and documentation.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
